Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-10-11 · Version 1.3

This Privacy Policy explains how SERVSHIELD TECHNOLOGY PRIVATE LIMITED ("SpherePayment", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of https://spherepayment.in, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website, app and related services. It is drafted in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using SpherePayment, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

Identity and contact data: your name, mobile number and email address, collected when you create an account.

Credit and financial data: if you use our optional Credit Score service, your PAN (Permanent Account Number) and date of birth, which we use to verify your identity with our credit bureau partner and which are then permanently linked to your account for that purpose; and the credit report data returned by the bureau when you choose to check your score, such as your credit score, loan and credit card accounts, payment history and credit enquiries.

Transaction data: your mobile and DTH recharge history, bill payment history (electricity, credit card, broadband, water, gas and other BBPS categories), biller/operator details, amounts, and the payment method (UPI, card, netbanking, etc.) used to complete a payment.

Wallet and rewards data: your points balance, cashback earned and redeemed, and the history of points/cashback transactions on your account.

Usage and device data: IP address, browser/device type, operating system, pages visited and approximate location, collected automatically to keep the platform secure and to improve it.

Communication data: the content of messages you send us via the contact form, email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp, and records of our replies.

2. How we use your information

To process your mobile recharge, DTH recharge and bill payment requests via our recharge and BBPS fulfillment partners and our payment gateway partner.

To operate your account, show your dashboard, and calculate, credit and let you redeem any points or cashback you've earned.

For the optional Credit Score service: to verify your PAN and date of birth with our credit bureau partner, retrieve your credit score and report at your request, generate a downloadable PDF copy, and process payment if you choose to unlock the full report.

To send transactional communications such as OTPs, login alerts, payment confirmations and service updates over SMS, WhatsApp, email and push notification.

With your separate consent, to send promotional offers and product updates over SMS, WhatsApp or email. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time (see 'Your rights' below) without affecting transactional messages needed to run your account.

To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to comply with applicable law.

3. Credit Score service

Credit Score is an optional, opt-in service — we never retrieve your credit report without your request. Checking your score is always free, once a month; unlocking the full report is a separate, one-time paid action.

To verify your identity, we ask for your PAN and date of birth. This is currently checked against Experian, one of India's licensed credit information companies (sometimes referred to generally as a "CIBIL check" — we integrate with whichever licensed bureau is active on our platform at the time). Once verified, your PAN and date of birth are permanently linked to your account and cannot be self-edited afterwards — contact support if you believe there is an error.

Unlocking a full report costs a one-time fee (currently ₹35), processed through our payment gateway partner, Cashfree. Refreshing your score creates a new report that starts locked again, so unlocking its full details is always a fresh, separate payment, even if you'd previously unlocked an earlier report.

Your credit score and report are provided for your own informational awareness and financial planning. They are not financial, credit or lending advice, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on them.

4. Payments

Your mobile recharge, DTH recharge, bill payment and report-unlock requests are processed via our recharge/BBPS fulfillment partners and our payment gateway partner, Cashfree, only after you confirm the payment (via UPI, card, netbanking or wallet, as offered at checkout) — we do not store your full card or bank account details ourselves; these are handled directly by Cashfree.

5. Wallet, points and cashback

SpherePayment maintains a points-based wallet for eligible customers. Points have a fixed conversion rate to rupees (currently 100 points = ₹1), which we may revise from time to time; the rate in effect at the time of a transaction is what applies to it.

Cashback is credited differently depending on the transaction type: for eligible bill payments, cashback is credited automatically once the payment succeeds; for mobile/DTH recharges, cashback is credited only after you actively reveal it (the "scratch card" on the recharge status page) — until then it is shown as pending cashback and is never silently forfeited on our end.

You may redeem points to reduce the payable amount on an eligible recharge, up to a per-transaction cap (in rupees) that we set and display to you before you confirm the transaction; this cap and the points-to-rupee rate may both change over time and are always shown at checkout. Points are non-transferable, have no cash-out value outside the platform, and may be forfeited if your account is closed or found to be used fraudulently.

6. SMS, WhatsApp and call communications

By providing your mobile number and creating an account, you consent to receive OTPs, alerts and service messages from us over SMS, WhatsApp and voice/IVR calls, sent directly or through our licensed telecom and messaging partners (SMS aggregators and the WhatsApp Business Platform).

These messages are limited to what is needed to deliver the service you requested (verification, security alerts, payment status, support responses) and any promotional messages you have separately opted into. We follow TRAI's regulatory framework for commercial communications, including honouring DND/NCPR preferences for promotional messages.

You can stop promotional SMS/WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP, using the unsubscribe option in the message, or writing to us at the contact details below.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (such as light/dark theme), and analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the site works.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only: with our recharge and BBPS fulfillment partners and our payment gateway partner (currently Cashfree) to process a transaction you've initiated; with our credit bureau partner (currently Experian) to verify your PAN and retrieve your credit score/report, only when you use the Credit Score service; if you submit a Loan Enquiry or Open Bank Account request, with the relevant lending or banking partner so your enquiry can be progressed; with service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, such as SMS/WhatsApp messaging providers and cloud hosting; and where required by law, regulation or a valid order from a competent authority.

9. Data retention and security

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and regular security reviews to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your login details confidential.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to access, correct and update your personal data, request its deletion, withdraw consent you previously gave, opt out of promotional communications, and lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer or the Data Protection Board of India. Note that your PAN and date of birth, once verified for the Credit Score service, are permanently locked and cannot be self-edited — deletion or correction requests for these specifically require manual support intervention.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at support@spherepayment.in or call +91 8700210018. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

11. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
